This is a little picture tour to help you in making your own fiberglass tube, It is light weight, rigid and has nice thermal properties to recommend it.  It will be a bit more work, but much less than an optical objective. The concept is quite simple. You make a form and cover it with layers of fiber glass. Sounds simple enough, right? This howto will rely heavily on pictures that were taken as Stan 'laid up' a tube.
