Dear Swap List,

I have recently posted this fantastic motorised filter wheel assembly on
EBAY. It is not a turn-key system but would make a fantastic starting point
for an ATM CCD project. I have finally admitted to myself that I will never
get around to using it, sob, sob, sob. I have way too many projects going.

Here is the EBAY link:

And my text description put on EBAY:

Beautiful little motorised RED, BLUE, GREEN, CLEAR color filter wheel.
Powered by a geared down Haydon stepper motor, filters are 36 MM clear
aperture (over 1.4" diameter). Even has an optical interrupt switch and
pins on the geared filter wheel to make customizing your electronics easy.
I got this from some scientific image processing equipment about 2 years
ago. I have finally admitted to myself that I have too many telescope
projects going on to even consider getting into RGB stacking CCD
astrophotography. Commercial motorized filter wheels cost $600 and up!
This is an amazing starting point for getting your Cookbook or other B+W
imager into COLOR (and automated)!! Professionally machined, black
annodized aluminum. Filter wheel is 4.5" diameter. It would be very easy to
machine a small rectangular housing and add on 1.25" diameter ports, thin
pofile too! The pictures showing each color filter were taken with the
filter wheel resting on a photgraphic white light illuminated table, no
color doctoring was done to the digital images. The filters do NOT have
"smudges" in them as seen in the images, this is an artifact of the JPEG
image compression. Filter colors are true as compared to the white
background under the assembly. System could even be controlled from
computer with a simple stepper motor control module, no having to get up,
touch the scope, rotate wheel, then reimage and HOPE you did'nt shake things
up too much! A very nice piece.

Thanks!
